![]() ![]() I was pushing an empty luggage cart down a hallway on the way out and one of the engendering personnel asked me if I would like some assistance! Super nice. Pablo at the front desk, the bellmen, housekeeping and wait staff could not have been nicer. We were always greeted with warm smiles from the staff. True mixologists behind the bar! The Hotel could use some updates but hopefully they will be coming in the near future, until then there is still no place I would rather be in Vermont. The Falcon bar makes great drinks and had live music some nights. The room was clean and bright and the bed was extremely comfortable. Lunch and dinner at the Marsh was great and we really enjoyed the Christmas buffet! Jeff, the food and beverage director, remembered us from last Christmas and was kind enough to spend some time reminiscing about the hotel. Our room was great and it was nice to see some friendly faces that have been working there for years. Summer and winter stays have always been great, and now we just got home after our 4th Christmas at the resort. I’ve been coming to the Equinox since I was in my early 20’s, I’m 56 now. Our only regret is not getting to meet Cooper!! The resident golden retriever. If you are looking for a place that reminds you of home for the holidays this is your place. There is also a skating rink (bring your own skates) and they provide sleds for the hill in back of the property. Next time we plan to get up early to enjoy the gorgeous spa and outdoor hot tub. We were just there one night but we decided this will now become a family tradition before Christmas. Every staff member we passed greeted us and was friendly. I slept like a dream in the coziest bed with Frette sheets. Looking out at the courtyard of snowmen and holiday lights. It started to snow which made it even more enchanting. The kids retired and my husband and I met friends and sat outside by the fire. Mark was great! We even took a photo in front of the giant Christmas tree with him after dinner. As tired as we were…we were laughing and having the best time. The chefs creations were delicious and presented beautifully. We decided to eat at The Chop House in the resort. From our room we went outside to get to the bar and walked through a magical courtyard of snowman (kits available in the gift shop)we passed the huge fire pit and entered the bar where Shaneal the mixologist created the best cosmo and manhattans we ever had. Everyone was tired from a busy day so we decided to meet for a cocktail at the Falcon bar. We got 2 separate rooms, which were spacious, warm and cozy. Check in was easy and the woman working was very knowledgeable and helpful. We headed to checkin and we’re greeted by a lovely young man who directed me to the front desk. It was a quick ride to the Equinox from Stratton. We met them after skiing in Stratton Village which was also decorated with trees, lively restaurants and shopping. The kids drove up early and spent the day skiing at nearby Stratton Mountain. We saw a newer hotel in town but if charm and 5 star accommodations and impeccable service is what you are looking for this is your place. Our grown kids (23 and 21) love to ski and my husband and I use to spend a lot of time visiting the Equinox before we had kids. We chose the Equinox for a quick get away days before Christmas. And the largest outdoor fire place with chairs all around for gathering. Impeccably decorated for Christmas, room after room with the most beautiful decorations, mantles adorned with swags, grand live tree surrounded by a spiral staircase, roaring fires in the many fireplaces. The Equinox is the perfect place to spend the holidays. He stepped up and made things right, allowing us to enjoy a great family and friends getaway that could have otherwise been a pretty bad experience. A special shout out to Greg Post (Front Office Director) who went out of his way to help us when we had multiple room issues upon check in. Staying in Manchester is also a great alternative to staying directly on a ski mountain property as there are several mountains within a 30 minute drive and you can easily take advantage of everything downtown Manchester has to offer. Like with any older property, there are upgrades and investments to be made to keep all facilities current, but the overall charm and activities options make up for any shortcomings. The rooms were spacious, the hotel is charming, and the property is very large with multiple options for kids during down time. We were two families (four adults and five kids) in multiple rooms. ![]() Recently spent three nights at the Equinox between Christmas and New Year’s. ![]()
